Partner Visa:

Onshore/ Offshore Partner (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 820/309)

Australian citizens and residents can sponsor their partners to migrate to Australia. To support a partner, one must be married, have a registered relationship, or be engaged in a de facto relationship. The applicant can be in or outside Australia when they apply for the Partner Visa.

Onshore/ Offshore Partner (Permanent) Visa (Subclass 801/100)

This option is available to citizens of other eligible countries and includes additional requirements such as educational qualifications or a letter of support from the applicant’s government.

Parent Visa:

Australian citizens, permanent residents, and eligible New Zealand citizens can sponsor their parents to migrate to Australia through two main visa pathways:

Contributory Parent Visas (Subclass 173/143)

These visas are designed for parents who wish to migrate to Australia more quickly. They offer a faster pathway to permanent residency and are suitable for families seeking quicker reunification. The Subclass 173 is a temporary visa valid for two years, after which applicants can apply for the permanent Subclass 143 visa.

Non-Contributory Parent Visa (Subclass 103)

This visa provides a pathway to permanent residency but involves significantly longer processing times. It is suitable for families who are not in urgent need of reunification and are prepared for a longer wait.
